Look who’s back: The Judd Group reunites for Zumbrota show
ZUMBROTA — The Judd Group, which formed in Rochester in 1970 and had brushes with national success, will reunite for a concert at 8 p.m. Sept. 12 at the State Theatre, 96 E. Fourth St., Zumbrota.
Members of the band are Steve McLoone, Tom Williams, Dave “Elwood” Williams, Dik Shopteau, Scooter Nelson and Bryan Rossi. They’ll be joined by previous Judd members Bruce Judd, John Thomson and Jerome Beckley.
Several of the members of band have gone on to have careers in music, as musicians, recording engineers, producers and teachers.
The Judd Group released two albums, “Rhythm and Space” and “Second Thoughts,” and toured nationally in support of REO Speedwagon, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Ted Nugent, the Average White Band, the Beach Boys, John Denver, Todd Rundgren and Tia Turner.

There’s a Warrant out for Dokken at Treasure Island
RED WING — Dokken and Warrant, two giants of heavy metal music, will perform at 8 p.m. Friday at Treasure Island Resort and Casino, 5734 Sturgeon Lake Road, near Red Wing.
Dokken, led by vocalist Don Dokken, formed in California in the late ’70s and went on to be an influential metal band. The albums “Tooth and Nail,” “Under Lock and Key” and “Back for the Attack” featured the band’s signature sound.
Warrant built its success on the 1989 Top 10 single, “Heaven,” from the band’s debut album “Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich.” Subsequent albums included “Cherry Pie” and “Dog Eat Dog.”

Ann Reed set to perform in Chatfield
CHATFIELD — Singer/songwriter Ann Reed, a longtime favorite of local audiences, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 12 at the Chatfield Center for the Arts, 405 Main St. S, Chatfield.
Reed is a Minnesota native who once recorded an album, “Songs for Minnesota,” and has appeared on “A Prairie Home Companion.” She also received the Minnesota Music Academy Performer of the Year, Songwriter of the Year and Best Recording of the Year awards. She has toured across North America for 30 years, performing in a variety of venues.

ArtHaus hosts Lehto & Wright for outdoor show
DECORAH, Iowa — The folk rock of Lehto & Wright will be heard when the Minneapolis-based band plays at 7 p.m. Friday in the ArtHaus courtyard, 516 W. Water St., Decorah.
John Wright, of the Galactic Cowboy Orchestra, is joined by Steve Lehto and Matt Jacobs, taking Irish, English and American folk traditions and interpreting them with contemporary guitar-based arrangements.
Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for students, free for children 12 and younger, available in advance at ArtHaus and the Oneota Food Coop in Decorah. Outside food and drink are welcome.
