Vintage vibes take the stage on Sunday night when Richie Lee & the Fabulous 50s open for The Fabulous Thunderbirds at the Down by the Riverside concert.
Lee and his crew hit the stage at 7 p.m. and will bring the nostalgia with them. Bandleader Richie Lee is a Buddy Holly-obsessed musician on a mission to introduce Holly’s style to the younger generations now inhabiting our earth. You can read about his ideas at the band’s website, richieleeproductions.com.
If you’re looking for rock music that’s rougher around the edges on Sunday night, fret not, for Second Story and The Olympics will be holding a special performance at Kathy’s Pub starting at 9. Rochester-based Second Story plays folksy grunge tunes that you can listen to on their Bandcamp page, secondstorymn.bandcamp.com/releases, while The Olympics’ sonic soul inhabits a world of dark pop and indie rock informed by bands like Brand New, Girls, and Radiohead.
