Sena Ehrhardt still has a few more U.S. shows, including a stop in Rochester, before she’ll play the blues across the pond.
Ehrhardt and her band will perform Oct. 18 at the Wicked Moose Bar and Grill. Josh Hoyer & The Shadowboxers and Kilborn Alley open the 7 p.m. show.
Six days after the Rochester performance, Ehrhardt will play the Hamburg Blues Festival in Hamburg, Germany. The show kicks off Ehrhardt’s first international tour. She will play 14 shows in Germany. She also will head overseas in early 2015.
“The tour is book-ended with festivals and theater and club dates fall in between as well as television appearances a radio interviews,” she said. “I’m so excited for our first international tour.”
While on tour, Ehrhardt will perform her first No. 1 single, “If Trouble Was Money.” Roots Music Report charted the song off of Ehrhardt’s latest album “Live My Life,” at No. 1 on Sept, 30. On the Billboard Blues Album chart, “Live My Life” debuted at No. 12.
“It was a great feeling when I found out we had a No. 1 song off our new ‘Live My Life’ album,” Ehrhardt said. “I feel very fortunate that my new album has been embraced by radio and has had a strong debut on Billboard (chart).”
The band also released and shot a video for “Things You Shouldn’t Need To Know” off the new album. Both songs will be performed live when Ehrhardt returns home to play the Wicked Moose.
“With all the great opportunities we’ve had to play across the country and now internationally, it always feels special to play at home for our Minnesota families and friends,” Ehrhardt said.
