WINONA — A special cruise of The Cal Fremling boat on the Mississippi River Sunday will take playgoers to the Bunnell House summer play performance.
The play, “The Hired Girl Gets Married,” is a Theatre du Mississippi production that portrays the Bunnell family getting ready for a wedding in 1856.
The boat will leave the Winona levee dock at 3 p.m. and cruise to the Homer Landing. Along the way, playwright Lynn Nankavil and director Paul Sannerud will talk about the play. Hors d’oeuvres will be served. From Homer Landing, visitors will be transported by trolley to the Bunnell House. After the play, the trolley will take passengers back to Homer Landing for the return cruise to Winona.
Tickets are $75 for the general public, $70 for members of the Winona County Historical Society. For reservations, call 507-454-2723.
