Given the rising mercury of thermometers in July, gin is a great choice for a crisp, clean cocktail on a hot summer afternoon or evening.
Vikre (pronounced vee’-kruh) is a newish distillery in Duluth, Minn. They focus on producing high-quality liquors made from the fresh waters of Lake Superior. Their line of gin is inspired by the boreal forests and interconnected waterways of northern Minnesota.
Here are three cocktails perfect for sipping this summer.
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon simple syrup (see recipe)
- 1/4 cup gin
- Orange sparkling water
Add lemon juice, simple syrup and gin to a glass. Stir. Add ice and top with orange sparkling water.
