A basic towel rack in our guest bathroom added functionality, but it didn’t seem to do the room any favors aesthetically. To boost the appeal factor, I decided to add faux board and batten treatment using lattice strips and a can of white paint from a local home improvement store. I attached the lattice strips with a nail gun, spackled the holes, painted the strips and the wall behind them white, and finalized the project by adding some hooks. The total came just under $20 and now our guests have a snazzy (and functional) statement wall to hang their towels and clothes on.
