I’ve had this desk for a few years now after snatching it up for a great deal at Goodwill. It had some rough patches and places where the stain had worn away, so from the get-go I wanted to either refinish it or paint it. Lo and behold, years went by and one weekend I finally got the urge to do something about it. I picked up a can of Rustoleum chalk paint in Linen White (to avoid all sanding on a desk with so many nooks and crannies) and went to town. I also spray painted the hardware on each drawer white. 3 coats of chalk paint, and 2 coats of sealant later, and my vanity looks brand new! To finish it off, I got a custom piece of glass to cover the top to protect it from any general wear and tear. This DIY was really simple, and didn’t take long at all to complete.
