Reader-submitted DIY from Tammy Senjem, Pine Island
In my spare time, I like to peruse the furniture section of Craigslist, and when I spotted this mid-century modern treasure for only $10, I had to have it! Despite the dresser’s appearance, it had great bones. With the help of a Rust-Oleum Furniture Transformation kit in the color “Seaside,” I was able to turn it into a signature piece for our beach-themed master bedroom. The kit’s step-by-step process was very easy to follow, and as an added bonus, there was no sanding or priming involved. I replaced the outdated drawer handles with trendy bronze cup pulls. Since I am not one to have patience for tedious projects, the relative ease of this transformation was a definite a do-it-yourself success for me.
